An Entire Preschool.
Built for Big School.
Some centres offer preschool. At Miss Parker's, preschool is everything we do.
Founded by an experienced primary school teacher and former assistant principal, Miss Parker's is a purpose-built preschool exclusively for children aged 3–5. Our entire environment and every part of our day are designed to help children develop the confidence, independence and skills they need for Kindergarten.

Being happy matters. And being ready for big school matters too.
GROWING CHILDREN. CHANGING NEEDS.
Your Child Is Growing. Is Their Learning Environment Growing
With Them?
Your child might be happy at their current childcare. They might love their educators and friends. And that matters.
But as children grow, their needs change. The environment that was right at two may not be the one you choose at four.
The preschool years are an important time to develop confidence, independence, communication and the foundations for school. At Miss Parker's, our whole environment is designed for this stage.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
More Than Play. Purposefully Prepared for Big School.
Because learning through play is important. Knowing how to guide that learning is just as important.
Think about learning to swim.
Spending time in the water helps children build confidence and have fun. But an experienced swimming teacher knows when to introduce new skills, offer guidance and help each child progress.
We believe preparing children for school deserves the same thoughtful approach.
At Miss Parker's Preschool, we combine the joy of play with structured routines and purposeful teaching, guided by our founder's experience as a qualified primary and early childhood teacher and former assistant principal.

Primary School Insight
An educational approach shaped by genuine primary-school teaching and leadership experience.
Play With Purpose.
Learn With Intention.
Grow With Confidence.
School readiness isn't about rushing childhood. It's about combining the freedom to explore with the thoughtful guidance children need to confidently transition to Kindergarten.
NOT ALL PRESCHOOLS ARE THE SAME
Everyone Says They're a Preschool. But Are They All the Same?
A childcare centre may offer a preschool program. A community preschool may focus on preschool-aged children. At Miss Parker's, our entire centre has been purpose-built for ages 3–5, with school preparation woven through the day and the extended hours many families need. We don't just have a preschool room. We have an entire preschool.

This compares common service models, not every individual provider. Long day care and community preschools can both provide high-quality, all-day early education. Community preschools may offer other fee relief.
OUR SCHOOL-READINESS PHILOSOPHY
Big School Isn't a 30-Minute Program. So Why Should Preschool Be?
At Miss Parker's, school readiness isn't a short activity that starts and stops. It is woven into the whole day through purposeful play, planned learning, conversations, routines and experiences.
We are not rushing children into formal schooling. We help them develop the confidence, independence and familiarity with school-like routines that support their next step.

DESIGNED FOR PRESCHOOL. DESIGNED FOR THE TRANSITION TO SCHOOL.
We Didn't Just Build a Preschool. We Designed the Next Step Towards Big School.
Our seven learning environments were purpose-built for preschool-aged children. Spaces, resources and routines support independence, social development, curiosity and the confidence to participate in a learning community.
We introduce familiar elements of school life while preserving the joy of play and discovery. The goal is not to replicate formal Kindergarten instruction; it is to make the transition feel less unfamiliar.

BEFORE YOU ENROL
7 Questions Every Parent Should Ask Before Choosing a Preschool
Not all preschool experiences are the same. Here's what every parent should know before enrolling.
01
Who actually designs and delivers your child's preschool program?
Is it developed and delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher, and how involved is that teacher in your child's daily learning?
02
What makes your preschool program different from your regular childcare program?
Is there a distinct educational approach for preschool-aged children, or is preschool simply a name given to the existing program?
03
How is your preschool environment specifically designed to prepare children for Kindergarten?
What classroom experiences, routines and opportunities for independence help children become familiar with what they'll encounter at primary school?
04
How do you assess and track each child's learning and development?
Can educators explain your child's individual progress, identify areas for development and demonstrate how their teaching is adapted accordingly?
05
How are early literacy and numeracy intentionally taught throughout the day?
Beyond general play-based activities, how do educators introduce, extend and reinforce foundational learning in age-appropriate ways?
06
How do you prepare children socially and emotionally for the transition to primary school?
What specific strategies help children develop confidence, independence, resilience, friendships and the ability to participate in group learning?
07
What does a typical preschool day actually look like?
Can the centre walk you through a typical day and explain how its routines, intentional teaching, play-based experiences and learning environments contribute to school readiness?
